Justin Barcia delivered his strongest performance of the season at Round 9 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship in Indianapolis, charging to a hard-fought fourth-place finish.

With front-running speed throughout the night and his first holeshot of the season, Barcia continues to build confidence as the series heads into its mid-season break.

The Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing rider started the night by qualifying 10th before putting in a strong Heat Race, where he sliced through the field to claim an impressive second-place finish. Carrying that momentum into the Main Event, he rocketed out of the gate to grab his first holeshot of the season and quickly settled into the lead group. On the deeply rutted Indy track, he stayed in podium contention for much of the race before securing a confidence-boosting fourth place—his best result of the year so far.

“We’ve been grinding down at the Baker’s Factory, and I have a new baby now, so it’s been a lot, for sure!” Barcia said. “I can’t thank my whole Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing Team enough. It’s been challenging at times, but they keep believing in me. I have grit and heart, so this was a big step tonight. I wanted that podium, but we’ve got a weekend off, so we’ll grit our teeth and work hard.”

With lessons learned from recent rounds, Barcia and the team returned to their base setup in Indianapolis, which proved to be the right call. “We tried a few things on the bike at Daytona and went the wrong way, but today we went back to our base and changed barely anything—that’s where we need to stay,” the 32-year-old explained. “It’s more about me riding hard with the boys during the week now. They’re great riders, and it’s really elevating me, so I’m excited for what’s to come!”

The result keeps Barcia seventh in the 450SX standings and signals that he’s building momentum at the right time. With a weekend off before the next round, he’s determined to keep pushing forward in search of a return to the podium.
