ShopYamaha off Road rider, Josh Green, underwent surgery on a knee injury sustained a couple of weeks ago on the final day at the 2023 Australian Four Day Enduro in WA.
Scans revealed a bucket handle tear on a ligament in his knee and surgical intervention was the only way to have it repaired and to 100%.
It is estimated recovery time is around six to eight weeks depending on what doctors find so it will become a race against the clock to be back on a bike and ready for the next round of the Australian Off-Road Championships in July. It also means he will miss one of the off-road calendar highlights, the Hattah Desert race, but Green is determined to get back for the AORC and try and secure that elusive Outright win.
“I knew instantly there was something wrong with my knee the moment it happened, and thankful the doctors were able to get me in and sorted as fast as they did. Now, I just need to be as disciplined and determined with my recovery so I’m back out and racing as fast as I can,” Green said.
