Josh Green lead the Active8 Yamaha Yamalube Racing team charge with a fourth place finish in the E1 class, placing him 8th outright after the first two rounds of the 2012 Australian Off Road Championship.
Green was right in the thick of the action from the get go, battling for class and outright honours on day one. He finished round one second in class and inside the top five outright after day one. Green's position slipped on day two when a heavy fall left him sore and his bike damaged.
The weekend proved challenging for Jarrod Bewley, contesting the E2 category, Bewley crashed heavily on day, while struggling with the conditions and dropped into survival mode to get through the weekend. He now sits just outside the top 10, in 12th outright and will be looking for a much improved performance at the next round.
Team boss AJ Roberts also didn't have the weekend he expected, getting bogged on day one and losing four minutes getting his bike out of the swamp pit during an enduro test. AJ soldiered on for the remainder of the weekend, finishing in 20th outright.
"Josh did exceptionally well and was right in contention until his fall," states team manager AJ Roberts.
"He is looking good and finding the YZ250F perfect for this type of racing. Myself and Jarrod didn't put our best foot forward and we have some work to do, but we have some time before the next round and I'm confident that we will bounce back strongly," Roberts concluded.
