If the MotoGP race was somewhat processional, a thrilling last corner in the all-Honda Moto2 class went a long way to make up for it with Jonas Folgar coming out on top to claim the race win.
Folger (AGR Team Kalex) had already crossed the finish line, after taking the lead from pole qualifier and defending champion Tito Rabat (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Kalex) on the tenth of 26 laps. It was the German rider‰Ûªs second win of the season after also winning the season opening round in Qatar.
‰ÛÏThat was a tremendous race." Folgar stated. "We did a good job all weekend, so I knew I had a good pace.
"I made a good start, and followed Tito for a while. Then Tito made a mistake and I was able to take the lead. I just continued at my pace, then over the last ten laps I did four or five really risky laps to keep the gap, and it was enough for my second win of the year.‰Û
