Despite still recovering from a broken finger suffered at Round 2 of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Championship, Jo Shimoda delivered an impressive performance at the Arlington Triple Crown, securing fourth overall with consistent 5-5-3 finishes in the 250SX West class.
The Honda HRC Progressive rider, who injured his finger when he struck a pit board earlier in the season, showed resilience and steady improvement throughout the night inside AT&T Stadium.
The 22-year-old started strong in Race 1, launching to the holeshot and leading the early laps. A mistake in the sand section saw him drop to seventh, but he fought back to finish fifth. In Race 2, he put in another solid ride, working his way forward to claim fifth place once again.
Saving his best for last, Shimoda put together a determined ride in Race 3, navigating the rough and rutted track to finish third—his best result of the night—securing him fourth overall in the Triple Crown format.
“Overall, I’m happy that my fingers are healing,” Shimoda said. “Each weekend, I have a better performance. I’m not really worried about fitness or speed; I think fixing the finger is the first thing. The West class has another week off, which will help, and I’m looking forward to Indianapolis.”
With an extra week to recover before Round 8 in Indianapolis, Shimoda continues to gain strength and momentum in his 2025 AMA Supercross 250SX West campaign
