Australia's Jessica Gardiner continues to shine on the international stage by winning the fourth round of the French National Women's Enduro title last weekend at Langogne, France. Fresh off her second place overal finish in the Australian Off-Road Championship, despite missing the final round and her third place finish at the conclusion of the World Enduro Championships, Gardiner has put the final preparations on her 2013 International Six Day Enduro bid by racing against the girls who beat Australia to the 2012 ISDE title in in Germany.
"I raced with the Sherco Moto Pulsion Team at the 4th round of the French National Championships in Langogne, France.' Gardiner explained. "It was a beautiful area with the special tests magnificently placed.
"Some of the trial time was half way around a huge lake, an the other half around the lake was the special test. It contained beautiful views as we rode over the sand next to the water up over rocks and sand banks!
"With two other special tests being held in bush land over rolling hills and a grass track with some various tyres, rocks and stumps to muster in the other specials," the 20 year old continued.
"Both days I took the top step on the podium against great company with the fast French girls whom I battled all of 2013 with for World Enduro podium finishes.
"It was another fantastic weekend, and a great training to prepare for next week where I will arrive at the ISDE to begin walking and remembering special tests in Italy for the 100th 6 day anniversary!" Gardiner concluded.
Jessica Gardiner will be joined in Italy by former Australian Off-Road Champion
Jemma Wilson and up and coming Off-Road and Motocross racer Tayla Jones, where the will aim to go one step better than their 2012 performance when the Australian team finished second.
