Factory Supported Australian Husqvarna MX1 racer Jesse Dobson kick stated his 2015 season in the best possible way by winning the opening round of the Sunshine State Motocross Championships held at Roma in Queensland on the weekend past.

Having only just returned home from Sydney where he as spent the weekend testing his two new Husqvarna race bikes with Danny Apro on Thursday, Dobson headed to the opening round of Queensland biggest motocross series along with the MPE Husqvarna team mechanics.

Showing signs that he will be a rider to watch in just his second year in the MX1 class when the MX Nationals kick off on the 29th of March at Horsham, Dobbson raced to a very impressive 1-1-2 result over three races to narrowly beat home former Australian champion and AMA Supercross contender Dan Reardon.

"I did not get the best of starts as it was peg draw each race and got average pegs all day." Dobson explained. "To race up against the factory Yamaha rider Dan Readon and Hondas Ford Dale and nearly a full grid of MX1 riders was fun, I Felt fit and strong and the Husqvarna was on rails and suits my style of riding.

"The track had 10 ruts in every corner and Roma MX club done a great job.

"I just like to thank everyone that believed in me this year and help me put this deal together. I finished top five at the 2014 supercross championship for factory KTM in SX1 and I am looking to be up there again this year if not better," 17 year old Jesse Dobson concluded.
