29 years old Jeremy Seewer is determined to claim the ultimate prize of overall Championship honors in MXGP and his next shot will be on a Kawasaki.

Following Yamaha’s announcement of Jeremy Seewer’s departure, the Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP revealed shortly afterwards that the Swiss rider will join their official factory squad for the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship season.

Seewer initially gained international recognition in the MX2 class, clinching the runner-up spot in the Championship twice before making the leap to the premier MXGP class at the age of 24.

Boasting an impressive racing pedigree, Seewer has notched 11 race victories, secured seven overall GP wins, and stood on the MXGP podium an impressive 28 times. At 29 years old, he is determined to claim the ultimate prize of overall Championship honors in MXGP, having previously earned silver medals in 2019, 2020, and once again in 2022.

Antti Pyrhönen, Team Manager of KRT, expressed his excitement about Jeremy joining the team for 2024, highlighting the KX450-SR as a race-winning machine and emphasizing the team’s goal of Championship success with Seewer on board.

“On behalf of KRT I want to express how excited we are to have Jeremy on board for 2024. Romain Febvre has shown that the factory KX450-SR is a race-winning machine and we are sure it is capable of winning the Championship. With Jeremy as part of KRT in 2024 we have a formidable rider lineup and a very real prospect to achieve our goal of overall Championship success”.

Race Planning Manager for Kawasaki Motors Europe, Steve Guttridge, concluded: “For sure Jeremy will add to the momentum that the Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP has achieved recently. To win at the highest level of motocross is a big ask. For 2024, Kawasaki with KRT will have two top riders able to race for regular podiums and fight for that coveted MXGP Championship title.”
