Jemma Wilson has retained her position as queen of Australian off road motorcycle racing after clinching another championship victory at the final rounds of the Yamaha Australian Off Road Championships wrapped up at Omeo, Victoria on the weekend.
Despite a massive workload between racing and her University studies, Queensland based Wilson still proved to be the one to beat in the Women‰Ûªs division in 2017 winning all but two rounds of this years‰Ûª championship and stamping her name in the elite of women‰Ûªs racing in Australia.
On board her YZ250FX, Jemma was simply a cut above her rivals for the major of the year but the final two rounds weren‰Ûªt just a formality as she experienced some problems in Saturday‰Ûªs X-Country event and finished in seventh for the round.
But she rebounded strongly at the final round to take the win and ice what has been another successful campaign for her.
‰ÛÏThere were times this year when I thought I had bit of more than I could chew between racing and Uni,‰Û
