Jeffrey Herlings—a two-time overall winner so far in the 2025 MXGP season—will sit out round 13 at the Finnish Grand Prix on July 12-13 following a collarbone injury sustained during training.
The 30-year-old Dutch rider broke his right collarbone while riding at Arnhem earlier this week, the same sandy circuit that will host the Dutch GP in late August. After medical assessment in the Netherlands, Herlings was advised to pursue a natural healing process rather than immediate surgery, with his condition to be reviewed again next week.
Despite a delayed start to the season due to a winter knee reconstruction, Herlings has already made a strong impact, claiming three moto wins, two pole positions, and two overall victories, placing him sixth in the current championship standings.
As recovery begins, Herlings will remain in the Netherlands while the Red Bull KTM team monitors his progress daily and makes plans for a potential return later in the season.
