Red Bull KTM's Jeffrey Herlings is back on top of the MX2 World Championship points standings after a perfect day out at round six of the 2014 World Motocross Championship held at Valkenswaard in The Netherlands on the weekend.

Herlings got the action underway on his KTM 250 SX-F at the Dutch circuit in front of a sell-out crowd, many of whom came to see him work his magic on his home circuit and he did not disappoint.

Herlings sealed the first moto by a winning margin of 1:07 minute and the second by almost 46 seconds even after slowing down in the final lap to acknowledge the crowd. Herlings has never dropped a point in his five consecutive wins at the venue for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team.

‰ÛÏIt was a great weekend." Herlings enthused. "I won my qualifying heat and both motos. I took two okay starts and we went from minus four points to plus 15 in the championship.

"We‰Ûªre back on the red plate and hope to keep it. I‰Ûªm Looking forward to Spain and hope to get another win there.

"I know these tracks and to win here for the fifth time is just amazing," he added.

Wilvo Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing‰Ûªs Romain Febvre secured a fantastic overall runner-up MX2 class. Enjoying the challenging sandy circuit the fast starting Febvre delivered two determined performances to twice place third, coming agonisingly close to finishing second in each moto.

‰ÛÏTo get second overall in a really great result." Febvre stated. "Both races went really well for me, but as they finished I was disappointed that I wasn‰Ûªt able to hold second both times.

"In the first race I was battling with Jordi Tixier for two or three laps and got third, and in the second race I was in the runner-up position for so many laps. But I wasn‰Ûªt able to hold it to the finish. That was disappointing, but to get second overall is really great.

"The team really did a great job this weekend, it‰Ûªs such a good feeling to get the runner-up spot.‰Û

Red Bull KTM's Jordi Tixier was in blistering form in his opening moto and started with the holeshot in his second outing. Two crashes in his second race dropped him down to fifth in race two but still allowed him to take the third podium spot.

‰ÛÏThis is my second podium in a row and its always pretty good to be on the box." Tixier stated. "I had a good start in the first race, my rhythm was good and so was my speed.

"I got the holeshot in the second moto but then I crashed twice. My handlebars were a bit twisted and I have a little bit of pain in my wrist. I managed to finish fifth. Its not what I expected but I‰Ûªm quite happy with my weekend.‰Û
