Aussie enduro aces and passionate ‰Û÷Berg pilots Jarrod Bewley and Geoff Braico have been chosen to fly the Husaberg flag in what is to be the marque‰Ûªs final year as a distributor-backed entity in Australian off-road racing.
For the Husaberg team, that makes 2014 a historic task - the final lap of an exciting era in Aussie off-road racing, with two riders who would very much like to make that last lap a victory lap.
Bewley, who this year stacked AORC class wins onto E3 class wins at both Finke and Hattah to establish himself as one of the premier Aussie off-roaders of 2013, will again saddle up on the FE501 while Geoff Braico takes aim at an E2 berth on the nimble FE350.
‰ÛÏI‰Ûªll be continuing from what I did this year, riding the FE501 in the AORC, at the 4-day and at Hattah with all the same sponsors from this year." Bewley explained. "I can't wait put in another big effort next year and see how I end up.
"I‰Ûªm working hard to get back to where I know I can run and it‰Ûªs slowly coming together for me. I had good form in the last few races and was able to show how good the ‰Û÷Bergs are, just by taking it a race at a time and enjoying my racing.
"The 501 is an awesome bike to ride - I rode one in Finke, Hattah and the last 6 AORC races I think and I‰Ûªve only just got my new 2014. There are a few little changes but nothing major. I‰Ûªm looking forward to working with Geoff again, and bouncing a few setup ideas back and forth under the Husaberg awning at races.
"I‰Ûªve raced against GB since juniors and we‰Ûªve been good mates for the last 5 years. We have fun together, and we both love trying our best to get the Bergs up there," he concluded.
