Nineteen year old James ‰Û÷Jimmy‰Ûª Dimmock will certainly be busy this weekend as the young speedway competitor gets ready for not one but two rounds of the Heffernan Speedway Winter Series at Victoria‰Ûªs Undera and Albury across May 30 and 31.
Racing since the age of four, James was ranked amongst the country‰Ûªs top five dirt bike racers before he decided to make the switch to speedway at the age of 17. The Canberran is now in his second year of competition in the discipline under the tutelage of three-time world champion Jason Crump.
While it may be a busy weekend ahead, Dimmock is looking forward to the challenge and hopes to see plenty of fans at the track cheering on all the riders.
‰ÛÏI really enjoy the double-header weekends as you can learn from your experiences from the first day and then put them into practice the very next day ‰ÛÒ it keeps you pretty busy though as you need to prepare the bike overnight to be ready to get back on track the next day,‰Û
