Serco Yamaha has enlisted the services of Jake Moss for SX Lite duties at the final round of the Nokia Supercross Masters at Wollongong‰Ûªs WIN Stadium this Saturday night. For seventeen year old Moss, who hails from Nowra on the NSW South Coast, the weekend will be his first race meeting with a factory backed team after growing up in motocross circles with twin brother and SX Open competitor, Matt. Moss, a highly decorated former junior competitor, believes that racing with Serco Yamaha is one of a series of steps which will help him establish a professional career in motocross racing. "It is a real honour to be asked by Serco Yamaha to join the team for the final round of the Supercross Masters and I believe it is an opportunity for me to display my skills on a factory prepared bike," Moss said. "I am planning to use the knowledge and resources within the team to my advantage and concentrate on finishing all the races in a strong position as a way to thank everybody for giving me a chance." Serco Yamaha Team Manager, Gavin Eales is proud to be offering Moss the opportunity to ride for a factory team. "Serco Yamaha had a spare bike for the weekend and decided to give Jake a go. He has a lot of talent and his brother Matt has been given a chance with CDR/Nokia/Yamaha, so we thought we would give him the opportunity to show what he can do with a bike which has been professionally prepared," Eales said. "Jake has just completed three days testing with Troy Carroll and rode well, so it will be good to see how he competes on the weekend."
