The MotoGP winter testing period finally came to a close in bizarre fashion for the CWM LCR Honda Team overnight, as a rare bout of rain fell at the Losail circuit in Qatar and prevented any action whatsoever.
With floodlights being used to light up the circuit, any riding in wet conditions is deemed unsafe, and so no bikes were able to take to the track.
It was the last opportunity Jack Miller would get to test his new open spec Honda RC213V-RS before the start of the MotoGP World Championship season, but as the Australian was forced to sit out the evening in his pit garage, he and his team focused on working through the data they had collected up to this point.
‰ÛÏToday the bike felt great when I grabbed hold of the handlebars in the pit garage, but that was about it!" Miller said. "Seriously though, normally at the end of a test you don‰Ûªt get to sit down too much with the team and study things, but we had a lot of free time to study the data and make some good comparisons and decisions.
"Hopefully that makes us more prepared now; we may have missed out on some riding time, but hopefully we go into a better shape in the GP here in two weeks.‰Û
