Australian Freestyle Trials Pro rider Jack Field left Australia last weekend bound for Lyon, France to competes in the first ever World Freestyle Trials Championship "Woodstrokes" - the Red Bull X-Trial Jam, to be held at Gorcia Park in Southern France.

With the support of Hell Team and Gas Gas Motos Australia and Red Bull, Field will join ten of the world's best riders in the event.

With less than 10 years of existence, Trials Freestyle is a discipline that has gained momentum thanks to the riders such as Frenchman Julien Dupont of "Ride the World" fame, Valentin Guyonnet and William Roche of Gorcias Park who created the first complex.

Halfway between the traditional trial, FMX and BMX, the sport offers a whole new facet of creativity: playing around with the elements and producing combinations of each discipline.

Freestyle trials offers the skill and craft of FMX, but also embraces the infinite maneuverability of BMX Street, and the intensely technical aspects of Motorcycle Trials.

For the premiere, the Trial X Jam will host some of the world's best riders including Marios Pol (Greece), Peter Weiss (Denmark), Emmanuel Angius (Italy), Marcel Grunert and Adrian Guggemos (Germany), Hampuz Fardby (Sweden) and three Frenchman in Christophe Bruand, Johan Picas and our Red Bull athlete Julien Dupont.

The debut competition will be judged by members such as Matthias Dandois (double world champion BMX Flat) and Tom Pag̬s (International Pilot - FMX). Each juror will judge the riders according to criteria of style, creativity, fluidity and control.
