On the anniversary of motorcycle rally legend Andy Caldecott’s tragic death during the 2006 Dakar Rally, KTM Australia and the entire motorcycling community honour the great Australian champion, whose legacy endures as the best off-road rally rider Australia has ever produced.
Known for his stage wins in the Dakar Rally and multiple Australian Safari victories, Caldecott remains an inspiration to all off-road riders today.
Andy’s passing is a great loss to the world of motorcycling and an even greater loss to his wife, Tracey, and their two children, Caitlin and Mitch. Tracey continues to manage Caldecott Motors in Keith, keeping her husband’s dream alive.
