The brand-new Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team is hungry to back up the success of its first two weeks of existence as the KTM enduro-X nationals concludes at Melbourne's Calder Park Raceway this Sunday.
Despite a short and intensive lead-in the new-look outfit tasted success upon its very first outing, with guest rider Mike Brown taking a skilful podium at the second round of the KTM Enduro-X Nationals at Parramatta just two weeks ago.
A week later, Byron Bay ace and reigning Queensland enduro champion Lachlan Stanford gave the team its first ever win, with a come from behind victory in the Husqvarna Queensland Sprint series opener at Kilkivan near Gympie.
Now with the final round of the KTM Enduro-X series in their gun sights, the Husqvarna men are focused on making a final impact before the team turns its attention fully to preparation for the upcoming Australian Off-Road Championship series.
Mike Brown's whirlwind Australian visit has culminated in a week of intensive EX track practice in Victoria, and the Tennessee native is confident that he is in good nick for the final.
‰ÛÏIt's been a really good couple of weeks for me, to see kangaroos and koalas and a lot of different places in Australia that people don't normally see." Brown commented regarding his time down under. "Toby‰Ûªs been a really good tourist guide for sure!
"We've also been getting in lots of Enduro-X practice this week, which is really good, so we should be up the top this week hopefully.
‰ÛÏWe have been to a different track every day, in Australia you‰Ûªre into it as big as we are. We've been working on things and to have Toby with me and riding really good has been better for me so hopefully one of us wins on Sunday, as long as we beat those Yamaha guys that's the main thing!‰Û
