Husqvarna reports another record retail performance in 2011

Posted:

The Paul Feeney Group (PFG), Australian importer for Husqvarna Motorcycles, has reported another all time record retail sales year for Husqvarna Motorcycles in 2011.

Husqvarna achieved 1930 retail sales, a growth of 19.6% compared with 2010. Husqvarna's growth in the Off Road market segment was even higher at 20.9% compared to 2010.

The latest Datamotive figures showed an increase of 3% in the total motorcycle market retail sales in 2011, mainly driven by the strong ATV and scooter segments. The Off Road market declined for the fourth year in row and 2011 finished -4.5% down on 2010 figures.

The Husqvarna brand was one of only two manufacturers in the Australian motorcycle market to post positive gains in 2011 vs. 2010 in the Off Road segment.

PFG claim that this outstanding performance is driven by a variety of factors including a strong and committed Husqvarna dealer network, product advances in product quality and outstanding reliability have greatly contributed to a very high level of customer satisfaction and resultant sales, new models like the CR 65 mini cross and the revolutionary TE 449 and TE 511 enduro machines and success in racing with 2 world titles in the World Enduro Championship by Antonio Meo and Juha Salminen.

The combination of a very competitive retail pricing strategy, a strong and expanding dealer network, the introduction of completely new road models like Nuda 900 and Nuda 900R along with a further expanding model range that should see the Husqvarna brand continue to achieve its market growth in 2012.
