Hunter Lawrence in impressive form at Hawkstone International
Australian MX2 World GP rookie Hunter Lawrence kicked off his season with the Suzuki World MXGP team with a commendable performance at the Hawkstone International in the UK on Sunday.

Lawrence who was the best-placed Suzuki rider in the MX2 class, just edging-out team-mate Jeremy Seewer for fourth overall. KTM's Pauls Jonas won the class ahead of the Husqvarna duo of Thomas Kjer Olsen and Thomas Covington.

Lawrence‰Ûªs sixth and third-place finishes were almost good enough for a podium spot so the Australian was pleased with his debut ride: ‰ÛÏIt was good, only a pre-season race just to get into the swing of things, but it wasn‰Ûªt too bad. We got to see how myself and my bike works in race conditions and now we‰Ûªre coming out safe and uninjured and one-step closer to lining-up at round one in Qatar. I‰Ûªm very happy with how things went," Lawrence said.

Lawrence competed last year in the 2016 EMX250 Championship but was forced to pull out and undergo knee surgery in a ffort to be fully fit for 2017.
