The new MXGP of La Comunitat Valenciana at the Redsand MX track in Spain produced another excellent weekend for Team Honda 114 Motorsports‰Ûª Hunter Lawrence.

Lawrence led the way for Honda with fifth overall in the MX2 class, after two fifth place moto results on a track that didn‰Ûªt really favour the Australian.

He sits in fourth place in the championship as the series now has a weekend off before the MXGP of Trentino.

"I was feeling a bit better than at Valkenswaard despite the track being so fast and wide open," Lawrence said. "It seems to be a bit of a weakness of mine, these type of tracks, but after struggling in timed qualifying we made some improvements and I thought were much better for the races.

"I don‰Ûªt think I‰Ûªm back to 100% yet and I‰Ûªm still lacking those explosive bursts that I need to challenge the top guys but I‰Ûªll keep working and the next round in Italy should be good." Lawrence concluded.

Honda Europe Off-Road Manager, Gordon Crockard, thinks that Lawrence is in a stronf position in this early part of the season.

"Hunter is coping well with the expectation that he came into the series with and I think he still sits in a strong position for the overall end-goal of winning the championship, posting a pair of fifth place moto scores on a track that doesn‰Ûªt suit his style." Crockard said.
