Following several medical examinations last night and this morning, HRC have made the difficult decision to withdraw Tim Gajser from the French MXGP.
This is due to the ongoing pain Tim is experiencing whilst riding, in his shoulder.
"I can not express how disappointed I am at not being able to ride today. It is not in my nature to give up and I promise all my fans that I will be back and stronger as soon as possible," Gajser said.
He will now return to Slovenia where he will undergo initial examinations which will determine the extent of the problem.
"This is not a decision we have made easily but we have followed medical advice and been forced to withdraw Tim from this GP," said, Roger Harvey - HRC General Manager - MXGP. "Obviously, rider safety is paramount to HRC and we had to consider Tims well being after seeing that he struggled in yesterday‰Ûªs qualifying race."
