Honda’s “Totally Wild” mini racers to make tv debut

Posted:

As if getting to race in front of an arena full of wild fans isn't enough, now the tykes who competed in Honda's Supercross Mini Masters in Brisbane will also be featured on kid's TV show, "Totally Wild", this Tuesday, November 1st at 4 pm. Totally Wild is an award-winning, broadly based environment program aimed at the 8 to 14 year old age group. The Channel Ten program is fast paced entertainment, which reflects children's interests, and showcases a variety of stories on topics such as the latest action sports, young achievers and modern technology. The first round of the Honda Mini Supercross Masters was held at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre back in July as part of the national Supercross Masters series. Since then, the Mini's series has been run at each of the arena events, with young riders getting the chance to compete just like their older heroes in front of a jam packed arena. The program offers both spectators and families an opportunity to see that anything is possible, with Honda Australia and No Fear providing each of the ten young competitors with a fully prepped CRF50, custom jersey and M2R helmet so that every child can look and race like a factory rider on a professional circuit. The SX Mini Masters Teams at each round are managed by multiple Australian champion Glen Bell who believes the program is an important step in the right direction for junior racing. "These kids really get to see what happens behind the scenes. They are also getting the chance to experience the thrills of racing in a packed out stadium," he said. "Their smiling faces say it all." Two children have been chosen from each of the rounds thus far and competed in the grand final last weekend in Wollongong, NSW. Main Photo: The Honda Mini Kids with Ando and Glen Bell
