Tasmanian young gun riding for the BCP Honda Off Road Team Kyron Bacon has had a clean sweep of the final two rounds of the Yamaha Australian Off Road Championships.

Rounds 10 and 11 of the series were held over the weekend in dry and dusty conditions in Omeo, Victoria where riders would be crowned in their respective classes.

Throughout the whole series Kyron Bacon and NSW rider Korey McMahon have swapped wins in the J4 250cc championship with the title looking to come right the way down to the wire. An unfortunate practice crash for Bacon back in August left the Honda pilot on the sidelines for the Broken Hill round of the AORC after having surgery on his elbow and from there it was time to play catch up. In the end Bacon would secure second place in the J4 Championship for 2018 after a stellar season that included 5 round wins and 4 runner up spots on the podium.

‰ÛÏI think we surprised a few people this year,‰Û

After finishing a solid 5th place at the penultimate Round 10 of the series, Bacon‰Ûªs team-mate Baylee Davies finished off the final round in 6th place, giving him an impressive 6th overall in the 250cc E1 category.

‰ÛÏIt‰Ûªs been a good year overall,‰Û
