After speculation mounted of an all new Honda CRF 250R for 2014, when images of a new look bike emerged from the opening round of the 2013 All Japanese motocross championships earlier this year, Honda Power Sports in the United States have confirmed that there is in fact an all new CRF 250R for 2014 and also an updated version of the 450R via their website.

All new for 2014 the CRF250R has been designed to offer precise, nimble, tack-sharp handling, with Honda giving the new bike a low-CG aluminium frame, an updated showa fork, a new swingarm, a new shock and new linkage ratio.

Giving the new 2014 CRF 250R a near identical look to its big brother, is the re-introduction of the dual muffler exhaust which was last seen quarter litre Honda four stroke form 2006 through to 2009.

Engine changes include a new, high-compression piston, new cylinder head and porting, a lighter radiator and new dual-stage fuel injection timing that is designed to offer a crisp low to mid range power.
