The two Highway Performance KTM riders are eager to start the series and compete against the best off road riders that Australia has to offer. David has had a very strong start to 2008 on board his KTM200EXC, with a 3rd and 2nd placing's at the opening rounds of the NSW sprint and Cross Country Series in Clubman E2-E3 combined class, as well as a 3rd in the under 23's at Oyster Bays opening event for the year held at MT Kembla MX. "I've been pretty happy with how my riding has been lately; I have been riding smooth and picking out some half decent lines not just staying in the same bad line all day. That was something I was working hard on in my pre season training", David said. Jennifer, not wanting to be out done has also been very impressive in her first year riding in the bush, having never ventured off a MX track this year. Jen has had to learn the ways of the bush very quickly. "Riding in the bush takes on a whole range of skills that I just never had to even think about on a MX track, not to mention having to learn the different formats of racing and the jump from 15min moto's up to 2hr cross country's is a bit of a shock to the system.", Jennifer said. Jennifer riding her KTM250SXF placed well at the NSW sprint and Cross Country RND 1 and 2 gaining 2nd place on both days. As well as a 3rd place overall on the opening Macarthur Club day held at Appin. The Australian Off Road series will be held in NSW, Victoria and Queensland this year with 12 rounds in all. With the Saturday of each event being Sprint style format and Sunday being Cross Country format. At this years Australian Off Road Series David will be wearing #517 and Jennifer will be wearing #771 to correspond to their classes entered. Main Photo: Jennifer Blackwood in action
