Australia's Hayden Mellross has once again had Lady Luck turn her back on him at the latest round of the AMA Supercross Championship in Glendale, Arizona.
During his heat race Mellross clipped a down rider early on lap one and was forced to come from the back. He made a key last lap pass that secured his spot in the 250 Main.
The 51FIFTY Energy Drink Yamaha Team rider unfortunately found himself on the ground tangled with another rider in the main event. He was able to compose himself and regroup as he set his sights on the riders ahead of him and battle back to a 14th place finish.
‰ÛÏArizona was a tough weekend for me," Mellross lamented. "I was involved in an unlucky crash in my heat race and also crashed another two times in the Main, I wasn‰Ûªt riding myself this weekend but I‰Ûªm going to train extremely hard and do everything I can to bound back this coming weekend in Oakland.‰Û
