Hamish Macdonald has become the first New Zealander to win an Enduro GP after the Kiwi dominated the Enduro GP of Italy in Edolo over the weekend.
Macdonald won both Saturday and Sunday‰Ûªs rounds in the hotly contested 125cc Youth Cup.
Macdonald has enjoyed a busy 2018 racing season based in Europe and the UK and trying his hand at as many race events as possible. The understated rider from Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand is a tough competitor that can quickly adapt to varying conditions and race formats.
Macdonald first came to the attention of Australian riders and fans when he placed third in the 2017 Wildwood Rock Extreme. The young Kiwi shared the podium with renowned extreme enduro experts Wade Young and Pol Tarres and was a class above the Australian riders.
