After a heavy crash in Time Practice, Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing’s Guillem Farres was unfortunately ruled out of the MXGP of Europe at Saint Jean d’Angely.
Farres was immediately assessed by medical staff and taken to the hospital for further evaluation, where he underwent thorough tests and MRI scans. Thankfully, he was released on Saturday night, although he sustained a concussion and will need to rest while following the recovery protocol.
Vincent Bereni, Monster Energy Triumph Racing Team Manager, said, “After the heavy fall, Guillem was checked by the medical team at the track and then taken to the hospital for further evaluations. He underwent thorough tests and MRI scans and was released on Saturday night. Thankfully, he is mostly okay, although he does have a concussion and will need to rest while following the protocol for recovery.”

Camden McLellan had a mixed weekend but still managed to finish eighth overall with a 10-9 result across the two races. Despite showing strong speed in qualifying and moving from 12th to 4th in the qualifying race, McLellan struggled with crashes during the motos. He reflected, “It’s been an up-and-down weekend. I’m very happy with my feeling on the bike and the steps we’ve made this weekend. We’re definitely on the right track—the speed and fitness are there—but I just need to eliminate the small mistakes. With better starts, we’ll be good. I’m excited to train in the sand, especially as I landed on the podium in Riola last year. It’s a great track for me, so I’m looking forward to the next GP for sure.”
Bereni added, “Camden had a strong qualifying race where he came through the pack, showing the strength and speed that he has aboard the TF 250-X. Unfortunately, we couldn’t translate that into the results we know he’s capable of, but everything is there for him to fight for positions closer to the front. We need to put it all together for the two motos on Sunday. There are positives to take away from this weekend, and we’ll continue working hard in preparation for the next one, which was a great race for him last year.”
With this result, McLellan now lies ninth in the MX2 standings, while Farres sits in 16th. The next race, the MXGP of Sardegna, takes place on April 5-6, and McLellan is eager to return to the sand track, where he previously earned a podium finish.
