The town of Goulburn was a hive of activity yesterday, as the 2016 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli, competitors were met with crowds of fans, in what was a successful street activation to launch Round 2 of ASBK at Wakefield Park this Easter long weekend.
Fans were treated to meeting the ASBK stars this afternoon, including Goulburn local Troy Herfoss and his Crankt Protein Honda Team truck, Yamaha Racing Team‰Ûªs trio Glenn Allerton, Wayne Maxwell and Cru Halliday, as well as young guns Jon Daniel Racing‰Ûªs Daniel Falzon and Knobby Underwear Suzuki rider Brayden Elliott ‰ÛÒ the late arrival of Anthony West taking fans by surprise.
It was Herfoss however who was the man of the hour, with family, friends and fans gathering to get close to his Superbike machine and the man himself.
Herfoss appeared quietly confident ahead of this weekend‰Ûªs events, and treated fans to an autograph and a photo as he made his way around Belmore Park this afternoon.
‰ÛÏIt‰Ûªs refreshing to come down to Belmore Park in the centre of town and show off the bikes and the truck. The weather is shaping up good and it‰Ûªs Easter time so everyone is happy,‰Û
