The front-flipping exploits of Crusty Demons headliner Jackson 'Jacko' Strong have captured the attention of international action sports heavyweights who have awarded the 19-year-old a coveted invite to contest the Freestyle competition at X Games 16 in Los Angeles next month.

During the recent Crusty Demon's Beyond the Apocalypse tour, Strong, from Lockhart in NSW, became the first person in the world to land FMX‰Ûªs toughest trick ‰ÛÒ the front flip - ramp-to-ramp over 85-feet, and the success of this feat has seen the teenager added to the alternate list for Best Trick, where he's currently the first alternate and is expected to make the line-up.

X Games Freestyle competition showcases athletes on the cusp of progression within their chosen discipline; style, flair and flawless execution are paramount to success. In his quest for gold Jacko will go head-to-head against FMX superstars such as Robbie Maddison, Nate Adams and Mike Mason.

The headstrong Crusty Demon is determined to make the most of the opportunity and said he will lay everything on the line given the chance.

"Being part of X Games has always been my ambition, and I am stoked to have received an invite to compete this year, said Strong.

"Being the first in the world to land the 85ft front flip was a real achievement and it looks as though the selectors have taken notice.

"The competition will be tougher than ever this year. As well as the riders working to land the front flip there will also be a number of other guys trying to impress the judges with their own signature moves.

"I've worked hard to give myself this chance so will be going all out to take home a medal," he added.

Now contracted exclusively to the Crusty Demons, Strong will need to progress through a number of elimination style stages to challenge for bronze, silver or the ultimate prize - gold.
