Motorcycling South Australia (MSA) has announced a five round series to determine the 2015 Peter Stevens Motorcycles South Australian MX Championships.
The series will once again see Junior riders contest their championship races on the Saturday of each weekend with Senior racing taking place on Sunday.
The 2015 championship will kick off on the 2nd and 3rd of May at Murray Bridge, before traveling across the Eyre Peninsula to Ceduna, returning for the first time since 2012.
Round three will head to the the States South East at Keith, with riders then making the trip to the riverlan for round four that will be held in Renmark. The series conclude on the 5th and 6th of September at Gillman.
Peter Stevens Motorcycles are back at the naming right sponsor after signing on to support South Australian motocross for a further two years, with the series further benefiting through the strong support from the Rural City of Murray Bridge, as Round 1 sponsor.
The benefit of over 300 competitors, their families and supporters visiting the region for the event make sport tourism a valuable contributor to regional economies, and it is great to have the Rural City of Murray Bridge supporting MX.
Regular series supporters Y-Aim Shane Metcalfe and Revolution Timing have again confirmed their commitment for 2015.
‰ÛÏPeter Stevens Motorcycles continues as naming rights sponsor, re-committing for a further two years, and increasing its contribution. The benefits to Peter Stevens Motorcycles, the SA MX Series and its riders continue to grow with the relationship established by this continuing sponsorship." General Manager, Motorcycling SA Chris McArdle commented.
"We will be working closely with Peter Stevens and other sponsors to deliver a great series in 2015 and maximise the opportunities of these partnerships," he added.
The last few seasons have seen growing numbers and great events by each host club, under the coordination of Shannon Reimann as MX Sports Manager. After three very successful series, Shannon has stood down from the role to concentrate on her business and family commitments.
Doug Spanos is taking on the Sports Manager role for the next two years, and is excited to continue the growth of MX and the series.
