Seth Hammaker bounced back from a tough first race crash to dominate the final two motos, securing a fourth-place overall finish and keeping his championship hopes alive with a strong performance at Round 10.

Seth Hammaker showcased his resilience and speed after an early race setback, claiming two impressive moto victories at Round 10 of the Monster Energy Supercross season in Birmingham, Alabama.

The night started strong for the previous round winner, who secured the fastest qualifying time, setting the tone for a strong night ahead. However, in the first of the three-Main-Event format races, a slick corner caught him off guard, sending the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider ground. After re-mounting in 22nd, Hammaker showed his grit and worked his way through the pack to finish in ninth place.

“I got a great start in Race 1 and was right behind R.J. [Hampshire], but I made a mistake on my own,” said Hammaker. “The track was slick, and I should’ve been more mindful of that. I tucked the front end, created a bit of a traffic jam, and went down. After getting caught up with another bike, I had to come from last place and work my way back to P9.”

After the tough start, Hammaker rallied in the next two races. In Race 2, he bounced back, securing the holeshot and holding off competition to take the victory. He carried that momentum into the final race, once again taking the holeshot and cruising to another dominant win, finishing 9-1-1 for the night.

“I grabbed the holeshot, rode my own pace, and took another win,” Hammaker commented. “I was hoping that would be enough for a podium, but we’ll keep fighting and learning from our mistakes.”

Despite his resilience, the early crash in Race 1 cost him a better overall result, as he ended the night just off the podium in fourth place. However, Hammaker’s performance demonstrated that he’s a serious championship contender, closing the gap to the leader in the standings.

With his fourth-place finish, Hammaker remains in the hunt for the championship, just 13 points behind leader Tom Vialle and 3 points behind second-place RJ Hampshire.
