The Malilla forests will be alive with the sound of FIM Speedway Grand Prix for another three years after rights holders BSI Speedway signed a new deal with the Malilla Motorklubb.
Next year‰Ûªs event will retain the Scandinavian SGP title, with Hallstavik hosting the Swedish SGP.
The G&B Arena has staged World Championship speedway since 2005, taking only a one-year break in 2013, and the venue has made its name as one of the world‰Ûªs great race tracks.
With wheel-to-wheel racing on the shale and a unique festival atmosphere off it, Malilla has become an iconic stop on the SGP tour.
BSI Speedway managing director Torben Olsen said: ‰ÛÏWe are pleased to continue our cooperation with the Malilla Motorklubb and extend the SGP‰Ûªs stay at the iconic Malilla track.
"It‰Ûªs not just the racing that brings us all back year after year; the fact visitors can camp out in the forest with fans from all over the world ‰ÛÒ just five minutes‰Ûª walk from the track ‰ÛÒ makes this a special weekend and something fairly unique to the series.
‰ÛÏThe track team here are highly skilled and rise to the challenge of creating a consistently great race track.
‰ÛÏWe look forward to returning for the next three years and I‰Ûªd encourage anyone who hasn‰Ûªt attended an SGP in Malilla to experience it first-hand.‰Û
