The 2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship will run across nine global rounds from April to October, spanning many iconic events with multiple World Championship and World Cup classes contested throughout the season.

The FIM Hard Enduro World Championship has confirmed a nine-round calendar for 2026, setting up a truly global season that will span Europe, Africa and North America from April through to October.

With dates now locked in, the series will once again blend legendary events, iconic locations and the brutal mix of endurance and technical riding that defines hard enduro at the highest level. Championship Director Ross Whitehead said the focus for 2026 was on balance and sustainability while still delivering a standout season for riders and fans alike, explaining that the aim was to build “a compact, world-class calendar that works for riders, teams and organisers, and gives fans an unforgettable season.” He added that with nine rounds across some of the most demanding terrain on the planet, the championship believes it has taken “a big step forward for the series.”

The season will begin in France on April 17–19 with 24MX Alestrem Hard Enduro, as the popular southern French event steps into a prime early-season slot and returns the world championship to French soil. From there, the championship heads west to Portugal for Extreme XL Lagares on May 1–3, before making the long journey to the United States for Silver Kings Hard Enduro in Idaho on June 18–20, a round that continues to showcase North America’s toughest terrain.

Mid-season sees the championship return to Italy for the first of two rounds, with Abestone Rodeo Miravalle at a new location on July 10–12. One of the standout additions to the 2026 calendar follows in August, with Sweden set to host a world championship round for the first time. Forza Orza at Orsa Grönklitt on August 20–22 will introduce riders to classic Scandinavian terrain, featuring forests, steep climbs and sweeping views over Lake Orsasjön, while also opening the door to a new hard enduro audience in Northern Europe.

After Sweden, the series heads back to Italy in September for Wild Woods Extreme before rolling into a familiar and decisive end-of-season stretch. Roof of Africa in Lesotho, widely regarded as the “Mother of Hard Enduro”, will again play a critical role in the title fight after its dramatic 2025 finale. The season will then conclude with two of the sport’s most established festival-style events, Sea to Sky in Turkey and Hixpania in Spain, both retaining their place as crowd favourites on the calendar.

The 2026 season builds on momentum generated in 2025, which delivered intense championship battles, a packed and dramatic Roof of Africa finale, and world champions crowned at the FIM Awards Ceremony in Lausanne. With a more standardised event structure, improved paddock presentation and an expanding global footprint, the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship continues to evolve into a unified international series that connects riders, organisers and fans under one banner.
