Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing has announced the latest addition to their 250 team for the upcoming 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.

The highly regarded Brazilian rider, Enzo Lopes, now joins the formidable lineup, including Nate Thrasher, Haiden Deegan, Jordon Smith, Stilez Robertson, Nick Romano, and Daxton Bennick.

Lopes shares his enthusiasm for the upcoming season. He stated, “I am super excited to join the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team for 2024. Growing up in Brazil, it has always been my dream to represent a factory team and to make that a reality with the best makes me eager to work even harder. I’ve been training with Swanie (Gareth Swanepoel) and the team for a couple of days now, and it has been awesome. I know I have what it takes to win, and with the right team and program around me, the sky is the limit. I can’t wait to go racing!”

Lopes, who transitioned to the pro ranks after a strong finish to his amateur career, made his pro debut at the Pro Motocross Hangtown National in 2018. Since then, he has consistently demonstrated strength and maintained a top-five overall presence in Supercross.

In the previous season, the 24-year-old achieved a career-best result in the 250 class, narrowly missing the podium with three fourth-place finishes and securing a total of five top-five finishes. These performances ultimately placed him fourth overall in the 250SX West Championship. Lopes is now poised to capitalise on this upward trajectory as he partners with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team for the 2024 season. His objective? To vie for the championship title and establish himself as a dominant force on the track.

Jensen Hendler, the Team Manager for the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 250 squad, expressed his satisfaction with the new addition. Hendler said, “We’re happy to have Enzo join our program for 2024. He’s continued to make progress, and we feel that he can be a title contender. We’ve just started to get working with him, and we can’t wait to see what he can do.”
