Multiple X-Games medallist Cam Sinclair will perform dual roles at next weekends season finale of the 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championshp at Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
The X-Games gold, silver and bronze medallist, who holds the record for the world‰Ûªs longest back flip, will contest the SX1 (insert) as well perform freestyle motocross alongside Jayo Archer and Brisbane's own FMX icon Matt Schubring.
Sinclair made a truimphant return to supercross racing at Rounds 3 and 4 of the Penrite Australian Supercross Championship at the Tissot Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, qualifying quickest and finishing second in both rounds.
Acknowleging Brisbane Entertainment Centre as one of his favourite venues for both supercross and FMX, Sinclair said he was looking forward to the season finale.
"It will be a really busy weekend for me but I am excited to be racing indoors again," Sinclair said. "Brisbane Entertainment Centre is one of my favourite venues I have raced there before and also ridden for capacity crowds for both Nitro Circus and the Crusty Demons.
"These indoor events create a fantastic atmosphere for the crowds and the tight nature of the tracks mean fans will witness some really close racing.
‰ÛÏI am excited as this will be the first event where I have dual roles - racing and freestyle motocross. I pulled up really well after Melbourne despite it being my first racing event in over 10 years so I think I will be fine," Sinclair continued.
The final round of the 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championship marks the first time since 2007 that Brisbane has hosted an indoor Supercross. The last time the Entertainment Centre staged the season finale, Toowoomba's Troy Carroll, now team principal of NP Monster Energy Kawasaki won the round and the series.
The final round of the 2014 Penrite Australian Supercross Championship will be held at Brisbane Entertainement Centre on Saturday 8 November.
