YJR NSW rider Michael Driscoll made his return to racing over the weekend at round two of the NSW State Motocross Championships, held just outside of Orange in NSW‰Ûªs central west.
Driscoll was injured the week prior to round one of the series and only started riding again four days prior to the weekends racing.
Heading into the event with the intention of consolidating what points he could and goal of top five finishes to leave with two second place overall‰Ûªs was a great achievement.
‰ÛÏThe weekend went pretty well, I wasn‰Ûªt quite sure what to expect given the time I‰Ûªve had off the bike from my injury. I rode a few times last week and felt ok but you never really know until the gate drops.
‰ÛÏBoth days went really well, I felt like my speed was there so with some more time on the bike I‰Ûªm confident I can be battling for the win again. We‰Ûªre going to fine tune a few things on my YZ 125 as that was the first race on it this year but we won‰Ûªt touch my YZ 250F, it was awesome.
‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm looking forward to the next round and being able to pick up my training again now my injuries are held up,‰Û
