Drew Adams delivered a standout performance in his professional Supercross debut, securing an impressive top-10 finish in front of a packed crowd at Anaheim’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross.
Called into the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team unexpectedly, the 16-year-old rose to the occasion, showcasing both talent and composure under challenging conditions.
Adams’ journey to Anaheim was as sudden as it was thrilling, but he determinedly embraced the opportunity. He kicked off his debut by qualifying 8th, immediately proving he had the speed to run with the best.
In the Heat race, Adams charged from 10th to finish 5th, demonstrating his skill and ability to make critical moves through traffic. The Main Event presented an even tougher challenge when rain midway through the race transformed the track into a slippery, technical test. Despite the added difficulty, Adams stayed composed, navigating the conditions to secure an 8th-place finish — a strong result in his first outing at this level.
“Just got done with the Main Event and definitely learned a lot today,” Adams reflected. “It was a tough moto. The rain during the race made the track really tricky, but I’m happy with how things went. I learned so much and will come back even stronger next week.”
With Round 4 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship set for Glendale, Arizona, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team is eager to see what Adams can accomplish as he builds on this impressive debut.
