David Herbreteau To Fill In For Suspended Jordi Tixier In Argentina

Posted:

Young hopeful David Herbreteau will stand in for the reigning world champion Jordi Tixier in the Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team at the Grand Prix of Argentina.

Tixier will miss round three of the World Motocross Championship after being suspended forone month starting from 8th of March and will not be allowed to race the GP of Argentina after an altercation with a medical official after being denied the opportunity to race the second moto, due to heat exahustion suffered in race one.

His team in accordance with its partner has decide to send David Herbreteau to South America.

The French teenager, who finished fourth in the European 125 series last season with two moto wins joined the Kawasaki Junior program last winter to compete in the European MX2 Championship. So far this year David has only raced last month's Valence International and will go to Argentina to gain even more race experience before the opening round of the EMX2 series, scheduled for Arco di Trento on April 19th.

‰ÛÏLast winter we decided with our partners to launch this Junior programme, and today we are pleased to find a solution to replace Jordi and line up three riders in Argentina." Jean Jacques Luisetti said. "David has no pressure for this race; he hasn‰Ûªt raced so much yet this season but practiced a lot on his Monster Energy Kawasaki.

"We just want him to give his best and gain experience. I want to thank our partners, especially WP, Thor, TCX and Scott, as David will race in Argentina with his personal sponsors. This last-minute decision wouldn‰Ûªt have been possible without the support of the French Federation, and of BOS Suspension who is one of David‰Ûªs partner.‰Û
