Dan Reardon undergoes surgery in a bid for ASX return

CDR Yamaha‰Ûªs Dan Reardon had surgery on his injured knee this week and has penciled in a return to racing at the opening round of the Australian Supercross Championship on September 17.

Reardon damaged his ACL in his right knee at round six of the MX Nationals at Nowra a fortnight ago and spent the last week weighing up his options for surgery and the recovery period required.

‰ÛÏI elected to have a fairly new style surgery on my knee where basically I have a replacement tendon in my knee from a donor,‰Û

In the meantime, CDR Yamaha will continue to pursue the MX Nationals championship with Dean Ferris currently sitting second in the points after six rounds.

Round seven fires up this weekend at the Conondale circuit on the Sunshine Coast, a favourite track of Ferris as he has done plenty of laps around the rolling hills of Green Park.
