Crump chasing best result for Poland

Posted:

Gorzow in Poland will host the final round of the 2011 World Speedway Grand Prix next Saturday night at the Edward Jancarz Stadium and Jason Crump has only one wish, and that's to have his best result of the season.

The stadium is named after legendary Polish speedway rider and Gorzow native Edward Jancarz who passed away in 1992, aged 45.

For Crump, this event will be his last in Europe for 2011 before jetting to his homeland with his family for summer in Australia and he wants to leave with a good result under his belt.

"This is the first time Gorzow has been used for a Grand Prix." said Crump "And it's a track that I have scored well at in league meetings, so my wish is for a top result to end the season on."

"But it's going to be a tough meeting as half the field will be vying for a top eight position for automatic inclusion to the Grand Prix series in 2012, Darcy Ward is a Wild Card and will be out to show his last GP was not a fluke and the Polish guys want to perform their best in front of a home crowd; it should be a top meeting."

"After the Grand Prix it's back to my base to pack up and head home to Australia for a hard earned break. I will be going to see Leigh Adams at some stage and it will be good to catch up with my family and friends."
