Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team bound for Conondale

Posted:

Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team riders Jay Wilson and Dylan Long are preparing to make the trip from their team‰Ûªs home in Victoria to the Sunshine Coast, for Round 7 of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals being held at Conondale in Queensland this Sunday July 17.

With the Green Park circuit in Conondale being one of the most natural terrain venues on the MX Nationals calendar, both Long and Wilson are looking forward to racing traditional motocross in Queensland this weekend.

Despite spending the last six months in Victoria to be closer to the team, Wilson still calls the Sunshine state home, and shared that he‰Ûªs looking forward to having the additional support of family and friends at round seven on Sunday.

‰ÛÏThis weekend has come at a good time for me ‰ÛÒ I‰Ûªve been in Victoria for quite a while now so it will be nice to get back home and have my family at the races this Sunday," Wilson explained.

‰ÛÏThese last two weeks I‰Ûªve had some more physio on my wrist and I‰Ûªm working really hard to get it back to 100 per cent. I‰Ûªm not there yet but we are making progress.

‰ÛÏThe track at Conondale is very fast, and it‰Ûªs sort of ‰Û÷old school‰Ûª motocross which I enjoy, so this weekend I‰Ûªll have another chance to test the wrist out and hopefully take some more steps forward.‰Û
The last time the Motul MX Nationals visited Conondale in 2014, Dylan Long was nothing short of a fan favourite being one of the few riders to jump the 140ft fly over, and shared that despite carrying a thumb injury in to round seven, that he‰Ûªs looking forward to getting back on his bike and seeing what he can do.

‰ÛÏI‰Ûªve really been looking forward to Conondale. It‰Ûªs definitely one of my favourite tracks and I always have a lot of fun every time we visit,‰Û
