Posted:

According to the new COVID-19 regulations issued by Austria‰Ûªs Federal Government and after extensive evaluations of the consequences for the event, the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2021 has to be cancelled.

By announcing the new event date for 2022, the preparations for holding the renowned motorsports event next year have already started.

On April 24th the Austrian Federal Government published its long awaited, new COVID-19 regulations and guidelines for Austria, including new rules and directives for sports events and the event branch in general for the upcoming months.

During the past months the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo race promotor crew has worked out several scenarios for a successful and secure holding of the worldwide renowned motorsports offroad event on the first weekend of June 2021. Each and every detail was carefully planned to be prepared for new regulations in the best possible way.

After extensive evaluation of the currently declared government directives and examination of the impact on each separate part of the event by the race promotor, clarity prevails: ‰ÛÏThe observance of the new regulations of the Austrian Federal Government makes it impossible to implement the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2021. We have fighted to the very last minute by running several scenarios, but in the end there is no other way than to cancel the event.‰Û
