Christian Craig Joins Honda for 2025 World Supercross Line-up

Just a day after announcing his early release from Star Yamaha Racing, Christian Craig has been confirmed by Honda as the latest addition to its World Supercross line-up for 2025.

Craig, the 2022 AMA 250 West Supercross Champion, brings with him more than twenty podium finishes and seven career wins. His return to Honda feels natural, as he won his first supercross aboard a Honda.

“This is an amazing moment for me. I’ve had great success with Honda, and I know what this team is capable of. They’ve beaten the factory teams, Kenny won with them, Anstie won with them, McElrath and Savatgy have won and been on the box in respective championships. Their bikes, their staff, their processes, all of it is at the highest level. That’s why I’m confident I can achieve success here too. The team has one clear goal: winning. I’m grateful for this chance and excited to get to work,” Craig said.

Team Manager Martin Davalos added, “Christian is a proven champion and race winner. He has shown time and again what he’s capable of. Our sport comes with challenges and risks, but when Christian is healthy, he’s a contender for any championship. I’d much rather have him with us than lining up against us.”

Honda’s 450 rider roster is now set with Craig and Joey Savatgy, both AMA Supercross race winners, both hungry to claim their first 450 World Supercross Championship title.

World Supercross CEO Tom Burwell said, “Christian is another elite-level rider who adds even more strength to the championship. Our mission has always been to bring world-class racing to the fans, and Christian’s inclusion makes that even stronger. Fans around the world should be excited to witness the very best competing on our global stage.”

The team’s 250 line-up will feature two-time World Supercross Champion Shane McElrath alongside two-time Australian Champion Brodie Connolly, a balance of proven success and rising talent.

Davalos concluded: “This year will be tough, and that’s exactly how it should be. The challenge pushes all of us teams, riders, and the sport itself to raise the bar. We’re focused, motivated, and ready. With our line-up and our machinery, I believe we can deliver wins, podiums, and chase championships.”
