As the track dried riders dropped their lap times with CDR Yamaha's Reardon topping the time sheets with a lap time of 38.885 seconds, a full half a second ahead of DPH Peter Stevens Motorcycles Yamaha rider Lawson Bopping with Motul Suzuki's Matt Moss rounding out the top three.
Penrite Oil Honda Racing's American rider and reigning Australian SX2 champion was fourth fastest, with South Australia's own Brett Metcalfe in 5th for the SD3 Husqvarna outfit.

Local Favourite Luke Arbon posted the third fastest time aboard his SD3 Husqvarna, with Penrite Oil Wilson Racing Honda's Jackson Richardson 4th and Honda privateer Taylor Potter in 5th.
At this point in time there is no available live timing from Wayville, though the issue will hopefully be rectified by time racing gets underway.
