After consistent rain for the past few weeks, bikes took to the track in Pangkal Pinang, Indonesia today for the second round of the 2017 FIM World Motocross Championships, but it quickly transpired that conditions wouldn‰Ûªt be good enough for them to run the full schedule.
With heavy rain overnight it was clear on arrival that the torrential weather had been detrimental to the track. Within the first few minutes of free practice the track was proving to be more challenging then anyone anticipated.
With yellow flags adorning almost every corner and taking everything into consideration Youthstream made the executive decision to use free practice as qualifying times to prevent any further deconstruction.
In MXGP, Wilvo Yamaha MXGP‰Ûªs Shaun Simpson was the fastest of the day and HSF Logistics Motorsport Team‰Ûªs Brian Bogers sits pole for MX2 race 1.
