Australian motocross and supercross legend Chad Reed will officially be inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame this October, recognising a remarkable career that spanned nearly two decades at the pinnacle of off-road racing in the United States.
Reed joins five other inductees in the AMA Hall of Fame Class of 2025 — Dana Bell, Chris Carter, Colin Edwards, Joe Kopp, and Ryan Young — with the ceremony taking place on October 23 in Pickerington, Ohio.
From the moment he arrived in the U.S. in 2002, Reed made an immediate impact, capturing the AMA 125SX East title in his debut season. He went on to become one of the most successful riders in AMA history, amassing 61 total wins across Supercross and Pro Motocross, along with two AMA Supercross Championships (2004, 2008) and the 450 Pro Motocross title in 2009.
Known for his resilience, longevity, and fierce competitiveness, Reed holds the all-time record for most AMA Supercross Main Event starts (265) and podium finishes (132), a testament to both his speed and consistency over an extraordinary career.
His accomplishments earned him the 2009 AMA Athlete of the Year award, and in 2011 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia — one of his country’s highest honours — in recognition of his sporting achievements and service to motorsport.
Reed’s induction this year cements his legacy as one of the sport’s true icons and a pioneer who helped grow motocross and supercross on both sides of the Pacific.
