New Mid-Capacity Adventure Bike Set to Arrive in Australia in February 2025
CFMOTO is set to shake up the mid-capacity adventure motorcycle market with the upcoming release of the 800MT-X, an off-road-focused variant of its popular 800MT lineup.
Scheduled to arrive in Australian dealerships in late February 2025, the 800MT-X will launch with an introductory Ride Away price of $14,990 before increasing to $15,990 from July 1, 2025.
Built for the Dirt
Positioned between the Touring and Explore models, the 800MT-X is designed for riders who want a more capable off-road machine without sacrificing long-distance touring comfort. The bike features a lightweight chromoly steel frame, increased ground clearance (240mm), and a 21-inch/18-inch spoked wheel combination, making it well-suited to rugged terrain.
Suspension has also been upgraded, with fully adjustable 48mm USD forks and a rear monoshock, both offering 230mm of travel. The bike retains its KTM-derived 799cc parallel-twin engine, producing 95hp (70kW) and 87Nm of torque, but with refinements for improved off-road performance.
Tech-Loaded Adventure Machine
The 800MT-X doesn’t compromise on technology, featuring:
• Bosch 6-axis IMU with switchable cornering ABS and traction control
• Cruise control, a bi-directional quick shifter, and a slipper clutch
• A 7-inch vertically oriented TFT display with smartphone connectivity
• 22.5L fuel tank with an optional 8L auxiliary tank for extended range

The 800MT-X will be available in Zephyr Blue and Nebula Black, backed by CFMOTO’s 3-year warranty. As part of a limited-time launch offer, buyers who purchase before March 31, 2025, will receive a complimentary ‘MT’ adventure helmet, valued at $299.
