For Cameron Taylor, motocross is no longer about winning trophies but enjoying a ride and catching up with mates.
Fortunately the former multiple Australian and State motocross champion has won lots of trophies in his career, but will once again be twisting the throttle to the fullest, when he takes to the track next weekend for the second round of the Honda Genuine Parts & Accessories 2016 Victorian Senior Motocross Championships Presented by Bridgestone at Colac on April 23-24.
Cameron, now 43-years-young, currently leads the Over 40s class by 13 points over Bendigo‰Ûªs Craig Rutherford and Macclesfield‰Ûªs Mike Reefman at the state‰Ûªs premier motocross completion for seniors.
Taylor, from Pearcedale, was one of the last Victorians to win a professional national motocross title in 2005, and says he still enjoys riding whenever he can. ‰ÛÏMost of my riding nowadays involves getting on the bike when I‰Ûªm coaching the kids but I still enjoy competing.
